You may have read in the trade press recently that I have joined a new property discovery App called HOMING IN® as a Strategic Adviser.
The reason I have got involved is that I am excited that the App offers something new, straightforward and simple by effectively replicating, in digital format, the estate agent For Sale or To Let board.
For example, if you use the App and are walking down a street or sitting in a coffee shop, you can view a map of the immediate vicinity with “virtual for sale and to let boards” appearing for properties that are available.
The board can display the agent’s brand, the property price and number of bedrooms. Click on the virtual board and it takes the user seamlessly to the agent’s own website and the full particulars there.
Of course, boards appear even where there is no physical board – this will become increasingly important as more and more local authorities ban boards and there are restrictions in conservation areas, on listed buildings etc.
HOMING IN® will be fully launched within the London and M25 ring in early 2026 with a series of TV adverts that will reach 85% of target audience five times over the lifetime of the campaign. It will roll out nationally shortly after.
