Absolutely buzzing!
Woke up on Saturday morning 4th July still buzzing from the fantastic event that was the Agents Giving Summer gala and awards tht took place the night before at the fabulous Combe Abbey hotel near Coventry
I had been shortlisted in three award categories
Best individual fundraiser
Best social media campaign
Best creative fundraiser
The incredible efforts of people across the property industry towards supporting their communities and good causes is truly immense and humbling an so I was delighted to have been shortlisted
However, it got better as I only went and won the Best creative category!
Brilliantly, my friends and fellow Propertymark Trust Trustees Sarka Wilde and Megan Eighteen won the Best individual fundraiser and Best social media campaign categories – two categories where I was also shortlisted
It was my 2025 charity Christmas single – Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year – that saw me win the creative category – wonderful recognition for something that combined my music, my charity work and my business – thank you
The song has achieved thousands of streams on platforms such as Spotify but, crucially, has raised best part of £3000 for Diabetes UK and The Propertymark Trust through your generosity in downloading via Bandcamp
The song can still be downloaded for just £2 (or more!) with all monies (after platform fees) going to the charities
The brilliant accompanying video created by my friend and fellow Propertymark Trustee Toby Martin undoubtedly added to its success – it can be viewed on my You Tube channel here
Interestingly I was back in Long Dog Recording Studios on Tuesday working with Piers Nolan on my Christmas song for 2026 – It’s not the same for everyone on Christmas Day – I shall, once, again be looking to raise money for Diabetes UK and The Propertymark Trust
Winning awards and getting individual recognition is great but the awards night showed that the property industry collectively is much maligned and criticised but that the beneficiaries of our efforts are the true winners
Well done everyone and thank you for your support
