I’m currently feeling chuffed and, if I’m honest, trying desperately to not be slightly smug, having won the Rightmove compliance and industry knowledge quiz at Propertymark #PM1 conference on 12th July.
The quiz was predominantly on compliance areas such as AML, GDPR and consumer protection – so, whilst right up my street, it also meant that I couldn’t afford to fall short in front of so many from across the industry!
Apparently the average score from the hundreds of entrants was 67%
I, together with two other entrants, scored 100% with me registering as the second fastest (it was against the clock and I am obviously getting old!)
The top four competitors then took part in a play-off where I managed to secure top slot following the very last question.
I was then presented with a magnificent trophy and the main prize of a DJI Osmo Action 4 camera together with an electronic tag and a vacuum mug – fabulous – thank you
Now, what this win also showed was that, not only am I highly competitive, but that there is clearly room for improvement in the compliance knowledge of those taking part.
The really good news is that I regularly run training courses on all of the topic areas (including during June) and so there is now an opportunity for everyone to learn from the best! (Modesty was never my strongest trait!)
