As an eventful year draws to a close we certainly live in challenging times but, whilst we cannot change the wind, we can adjust our sails and there will continue to be excellent opportunities for those with the skills and knowledge to take them. This will mean being able to adopt new thinking, adapt to suit the business environment and improve services and performance to maximise success.
Whilst I edged slowly into a semi-retired mode over the last year, I still worked with over 60 individual businesses and helped them steer their way through, often, choppy waters.
The launch in November of Landlord Event in a Box which I developed with Julie Ford, has proven to be a great success – you can find out more here: Landlord Events – Integra Property Services
I shall be looking to operate similarly in 2025 with a greater concentration on NED and advisory type roles where my experience, knowledge and skills both operationally and strategically can bring most benefit to organisations. If you feel that this approach would be of benefit to your business, please do not hesitate to contact me and I should be pleased to have a conversation to look at whether this would work to our mutual benefit.
2024 saw me rated as Exceptional at the EA Masters for the eighth consecutive year and I was also awarded Silver in their Supplier of the Year awards. Thank you to those of you who took the time to rate my services.
I was also a shortlisted finalist in the Negotiator Awards (Professional Support) category.
During the year I delivered a total of 48 sales skills, management development and compliance training courses to 1000+ delegates both as open courses and for individual businesses and both virtually and physically face to face. I also delivered a number of compliance courses for Propertymark.
All the dates for my open courses in 2025 are on my website and are taking bookings now. You can find them at www.integra-ps.com/book-a-course
In 2024 I spoke at five Propertymark Regional Conferences in Essex, the West Midlands, Surrey, Kent and Sussex and participated in a number of webinars for various clients.
In November I became a member of the agency advisory panel for Propertymark : REACH which acts as incubators for a number of innovative new tech based businesses.
As you are probably aware, I was one of the founders of the charitable foundation Agents Together in 2020 and remain involved as a mentor. 2024 saw me step up my charitable activity and in February I became a Director and Trustee for the Propertymark Trust, the charitable “arm” of Propertymark. I chair the education and applications group.
The volunteer hours that I have contributed have, hopefully, helped make a difference to many across the property industry. An industry that has served me well and which I hope I continue to serve well in return.
In the autumn, and for the second year running, I completed one million steps for Diabetes UK and have now raised £6000 to support the activities of this important charity.
