That’ll be the Day! Michael celebrates 50 not out!

‘It’s still a people business, despite the tech’

Article from Estate Agent Today 10.1.26

Michael Day is completing his 50th year in the property industry. He winks mischievously when he explains, “Of course it’s possible only because I started working when I was three.”

Over five decades he has occupied almost every seat in the sector: frontline agency, corporate boardrooms, professional bodies, consultancy, training and governance. A Fellow of RICS and the inaugural Chairman of the RICS Residential Faculty, he is also a Fellow of Propertymark NAEA and ARLA and today serves as Managing Director of Integra Property Services, which celebrated 22 years in business last May.

Yet when Day talks about longevity, he doesn’t lead with titles. He leads with a belief that has held steady through every market shift and technological leap.

Here is Michael’s full interview with Peter Mitchell, Features Editor of Estate Agent Today. First published on 10th January 2026
