The Christmas Fun Night in Chalfont St Peter is but a distant memory but a fabulous night saw some 5-6000 people come and enjoy a festive evening with a fun fair, seasonal entertainment, late night shopping, 40 stalls and the village’s Christmas lights in their full glory. It has been a pleasure to organise this for the last few years but 2012 will see me hand it over to others to build on the tradition we have now established.

Feast Day is now uppermost on my community task list and will take place on 30thJune on Gold Hill Common. This event has grown and is now the key community event in Chalfont St Peter every year.

The committee is working hard to build on last year’s success which saw some 6-7000 people attend the show during the day and a similar number turn out in the evening for the free concert. This year we have secured Fleetwood Bac as our headline act.

Sponsorship, advertising and stall pitch opportunities are now available and full details can be found on the Feast of St Peter website here:

2012 will also see another major event take place in Chalfont St Peter.

Run the Race is an exciting project that brings local churches together to serve the local community during the Olympic Games in 2012.

More details are available here:

I am also a committee member of the Neighbourhood Action Group which works with the local police to ensure that the village remains a superb place to live.

Jim Clarke, our local community “bobby” for many years, recently retired and I would like to record my appreciation for his work and wish him well in his retirement.
